Charleston Picture Gallery
Charleston is one of the most picturesque cities in the world. I'm even including Paris in this survey! This area of our site will be constantly added to as I stumble on exciting visual stimuli. It may not always be a condominium, but it will say something about Charleston. So check often and feel free to ask me to send you any shots that strike our fancy. I'll be happy to oblige.

Wentworth Mansion (1)
I recently dined at Circa 1886, the five star restaurant on the grounds of the mansion. I was blown away by the presentation and service. My friends ordered grouper and antelope. The grouper was simple and honest, with tiny diced veggies around, and a divine sauce to tie it all together. The antelope came with a persimmon and raisin Relish and Celeriac Sauce and was perfectly served medium rare. A mini iron skillet of a luscious cauliflower souffle type concoction was placed on the plate. My medium rare duck breast was beautifully fanned out on the plate with a subtle maple wine sauce. The wine list is huge with great values. All in all a wonderful culinary experience. -

Very Green and cool One Cool Blow (11)
One Cool Blow is unique. One feels the character of the institutional and industrial architecture during the late 19th century in port cities along the eastern seaboard. -

Downtown Charleston Cigar Factory (3)
This imposing 125 year old edifice is quietly sitting, waiting for its exciting rebirth into city lofts, with offices, specialty retail, and restaurants on the ground level. -
Atlantic Wharf (3)
Nestled behind downtown's Waterfront park, this small cluster of residences exudes elegance. Minutes from Broad Street and Charleston's fabulous art galleries. Walk to the finest restaurants on the peninsula for supper and take a stroll on the waterfront on the way home. -
Mt Pleasant Old Village Charm (3)
The Old Village is one of the most sought after locations outside of downtown Charleston. Some of the homes in this quaint area on the harbor date from the early 1800's. It was a summer place for the well heeled and reminds many of Nantucket. The center of the Old Village boasts of a real old fashioned ice cream parlor. You can still sit at the soda fountain and have a grilled cheese and a chocolate milkshake. Shem Creek, bordering the Old Village, is truly one of the most picturesque spots in the lowcountry, with shrimp boats, pelicans, and great restaurants. -
Dockside 3rd Floor, 3BR 2.5BA (3)
Dockside is unique in that it is the only high rise in downtown Charleston, other than a 75 year old marvel on Broad Street. The pros here are the incredible views of the ravishing Ravenel Bridge and the expanses of our harbor. The area is bustling with development activity, with the Acquarium jusgt steps away and a huge park redevelopment which resembles Central Park in NYC on a small scale. The cons are that the building is older and has some kinks, mostly which have been worked out. You can even keep your boat in front. -
Dockside Water View 2BR 2BA (1)
This is a great way to live downtown on the harbor with a view of the gorgeous Ravenel bridge. At $399,000 and 1237 sq ft, this newly renovated condo has hardwood floors and a neat kitchen. -
Bee St Lofts (10)
For the medical professional, Bee Street is a slam dunk. Right in the heart of the Medical University of SC, MUSC, it offers amenities and new construction. The pros are just that. The younger generation may be more drawn to the stark, contemporary interiors. -
Midtown (6)
This is one of the most exciting areas on the peninsula. Very dynamic and changing before your eyes. The 5 Loaves Cafe in this photo is a fmailiar hang out where you can find all sorts of folks at all hours of the day savoring great soups and sandwiches. Midtown is fast becoming a very sought after neighborhood. -
Anson House (15)
This is probably the most sophisticated Condo development in downtown Charleston. I feel that these elegant residences are the answer to an art lover's prayer. The ornate gallery entrances allow for fabulous art displays. With Charleston becoming a major art destination, Anson House is at just the right place at just the right time. -
The Tides Condominiums | Mt Pleasant, Charleston (2)
The views from these three buildings in this ambitious development are to die for. The location is very desirable, in that it is just across the Ravenel Bridge from downtown, yet still in Mt Pleasant for easy shopping and great restaurants. Many units to choose from in all shapes and sizes and some great deals right now. It's well worth a visit. -
2 BR/2.5 BA, 2087 sq ft new condo (Listing SC009) (6)
This condo is located in the Tides, just across the bridge from downtown Charleston. This is just one of many available here. Now is an excellent time to check this development out.
